Welcome to 1CON. Please read these Terms carefully before using our platform. By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.
1. About 1CON
1CON is a peer-to-peer fashion marketplace connecting buyers and sellers in Nigeria. We provide the platform — sellers are responsible for their own listings, pricing, shipping, and product quality. 1CON is not a fulfillment center and does not hold or ship inventory.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use 1CON. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. We offer two account types: Personal (for buying and casual selling) and Brand (for businesses — requires verification). You may only operate one account per person.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to:
List counterfeit, replica, stolen, or illegal items. Use misleading photos or descriptions. Conduct transactions outside 1CON to avoid fees or buyer protection. Harass, threaten, or abuse other users. Create multiple accounts to manipulate the platform. List items you do not own or cannot ship. Use automated tools to scrape, list, or buy items.
Violations result in listing removal, account suspension (24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days), or permanent ban at our discretion.
4. Listings
Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings including photos, descriptions, sizing, condition, and pricing. 1CON may use automated keyword filters to flag or remove listings that violate our Acceptable Use policy. We reserve the right to remove any listing at any time without notice.
5. Payments & Fees
All payments are processed through Paystack. 1CON charges a 5% service fee on each transaction, deducted automatically at the point of sale. Pro subscribers (Community or Brand) may receive reduced or zero service fees as part of their subscription benefits. Sellers receive their funds after the buyer confirms delivery. Subscription fees are non-refundable.
6. Escrow & Delivery
1CON operates an escrow model. Buyer funds are held securely until the buyer confirms delivery through the app. Sellers are expected to ship within 3 business days of receiving an order. If a seller fails to ship within 7 days, the buyer may request a full refund. Buyers must confirm delivery within 48 hours of receiving the item, or the system may auto-confirm.
7. Disputes
Either party may raise a dispute through the app. Our team reviews disputes considering order details, chat history, photos, and delivery evidence. We may refund the buyer, release funds to the seller, or close the dispute as resolved. Our decision is final. Repeat dispute offenders may face account restrictions.
8. Privacy
We collect your email, name, phone number, delivery addresses, and transaction history. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Payment information is handled entirely by Paystack — we never store card details. We may use anonymised data for platform analytics.
9. Limitation of Liability
1CON is a marketplace platform. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed. We are not responsible for disputes between buyers and sellers beyond providing our mediation process. Our maximum liability is limited to the service fee collected on the relevant transaction.
10. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of 1CON after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of significant changes through the app.
